A CD ROM reproduction of the 1876 "Atlas of Berkshire County,
Massachusetts" by F.W. Beers, containing most of the maps and
data from the original atlas.
All maps are legible, but
these scans are NOT suitable for wall display, as they are marred.
Some maps from the Town of Pittsfield are missing.
Several
of the pages have small damages, and a number of them have
penciled annotations. The annotations have not been removed
because they appear to represent a later historian’s research -
identifying homeowners some time after the original map was
published. The author of the annotations is unknown.
The
scans are JPEG files, arranged as in the original atlas. Each file
begins with the atlas page number. Some of the numbers are missing
- representing pictures or blank atlas pages which are not
included.
