1839 Burr Map         see detail below

The 1839 "Burr" map shows the major villages in Vermont and all principal roads in Vermont in the years just before the railroads. Mileage between villages is listed. It is part of a large New England map.

The 1821 Whitelaw (Hutchinson) map is quite detailed for its age. Here we see all town boundaries, the latest town names (many have changed since the earlier maps), major roads, and town centers.  The population for each town in 1820 is shown, as is the date of the town's incorporation.

The 1821 "Whitelaw" is the successor to two earlier versions of this map, 1796 and 1810, each included in this set of maps.
