reproduction of the 1861 Map of Franklin County, Maine by
H.F. Walling. The original map was the first complete view of who lived
where in these 26 towns. 1000s of sites - homes, schools, churches and businesses- are
located and named. All maps and data on the original have been scanned
for this reproduction. The publication is in a PDF file, an easy to use
book-like format.
NOTE:
there is some loss of names in the middle of the map due to a flaw in the
original image. names are missing from the towns of Farmington, Industry,
Temple and Weld.
