We are now offering Nautical Charts of the Atlantic Coast on our new
website, from the archives of the U.S. Coast Survey. The
entire seacoast was mapped on multiple series of large-scale maps.
More detailed charts exist covering harbors and areas of special
interest. The seperate categories are detailed below. |

400,000 Scale Charts A
series of 15 large charts covering the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts from
Quoddy Head, Maine to the Rio Grande River Charts mostly from the
1800s - succeded by General Charts |
General Charts A series of
12 large charts of varying scale covering the Atlantic and Gulf
Coasts from Maine to the Rio Grande River Charts mostly from the
1900s - replaced 400,000 Scale series. |

Big Area Charts -
New England to NY A series of 3 Charts, numbered 50-52,
covering the coast from Cape Elizabeth, Maine to New York City |
Big Area Charts -
Atlantic Coast & Gulf of Mexico A series of 5
non-continuously numbered charts covering the coast from Canada to
Texas. Also includes Puerto Rico |

80,000 Scale
A series of 187 mid-size Charts covering the Atlantic and Gulf
Coasts from Calais, Maine to Pensacola, Florida. This series was
replaced circa 1930 by another series of 1:80,000 scale charts, a
number of which we offer alongside their older counterparts. |
Harbor Charts
This category is comprised of smaller Nautical Charts of varying
scales which detail important Harbors and other places of interest
along the Atlantic Coast. We have a large collection of these
Charts, and will be expanding this section in the coming months. |
